Ideas in My Head

Set your minds on things above…

Since, then, you have been raised with Christ, set your hearts on things above, where Christ is, seated at the right hand of God. Set your minds on things above, not on earthly things. For you died, and your life is now hidden with Christ in God. When Christ, who is your life, appears, then you also will appear with him in glory.

Colossians 3:1-4

Recently I was preparing for a Beginner’s Bible Art Journaling Workshop which would be attended by 11 ladies who had never previously heard of Bible Art Journaling. Sometimes in preparation for a workshop, I journal multiple examples for the same passage. I try to gently inspire and not overwhelm, but to encourage people to do it in their own special way. This is such a fine line and sometimes I’d rather not give an example at all, but a beginner’s workshop is a bit different. Especially if they’ve never heard of Bible Art Journaling.

For the recent workshop, I had three examples in my head but got only two into my Bibles or journals. This is the second. The third one is still tucked away into my head. I will maybe pull it out one day soon. I’ll post it here if I have time to get it onto the pages of my Bible. I’m kind of excited to work on it and to dig more deeply into Colossians 3 in the process.
